AM3+ motherboard for under $100

well I am upgrading from my trusty phenom 9550 to a FX6300, and I need a new motherboard. I am looking at the ASRock 970 extreme 3.

any other suggestions for motherboards? must be atx, must support crossfire, must overclock decently(about 4.0-4.5 is what I am shooting for) very strongly prefer mostly black and red highlights or all black.

the rest of my system is

msi Hd6850,

coolermaster gx750 psu,

coolermaster hyper212+ cooler,

8gb amd entertainment edition ddr3 1600 CL11,

raid 0 wd caviar hdd's and 750gb seagate hdd.

Spoiler

AMD R7 1800X, H100i GTX, AMD Radeon RED DEVIL 5700XT, ASUS STRIX B350-F GAMING, 16gb DDR4 3000, 1Tb, 2 X SEAGATE 1Tb, Coolermaster V1200 Platinum, NZXT H440 red/black, STEEL SERIES AEROX 3, DUCKY X POWER COLOR RED DEVIL KEYBOARD, Microsoft xbox 360 wired controller, LG ULTRAWIDE.

I know it's a little over $100 but I've had good luck with this Biostar board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138341

I've been running it for about 10 months now with my 8120 at 4.1Ghz, it's completely stable. This is a 990 board, they also make a 970 that comes in a exactly $100 that might be worth checking out.

"Wisdom III" AMD FX 8120 @ 4.1Ghz // Biostar TA990FXE // 16GB GeIL Black Dragon (8x2) // Saphire HD 7870 OC Edition // CORSAIR TX850M // Curcial M4 64GB (boot) // Seagate Barracuda Green 1.5TB (storage) // Cooler Master Hyper N 520 // Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

Buy 970 Extreme3, I'm using this motherboard and it is very stable... Or, save some money and go for 990FX chipset, which is better....

That Asrock motherboards have 4+1 cpu power phases. For an FX 6-core or 8-core it is better to go with a motherboard that has 4+2, 6+2 or 8+2.

Like Gigabyte 970A-UD3 (8+2) or Asus M5A97 R2.0 (4+2, heatsinked).

I second the M5A97 R2.0, I'm using it with the FX 6100. very low OC though.

actually the reason I chose the asrock 970 extreme 3 is because it has a heat sink on the 4+1 mosfets
