hay guys this is my current build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/w2Nvyc does anyone know a good cpu to replace that one for my build i want it to last 5 years and i want to be able to run top notch games like ark rust,subnatica, etc on highest settings. I'm not going to over clock and i'm running at 1440p thx for the help. if my current cpu is fine im ok with keeping it, i was just told dont use it if you not going to overclock to save some cash.

you'd be looking for a GPU that can run games like that .-. and there no guarantee it will last 5 years 

5820k is your safest bet. Overclocking is 100% safe unless your a complete idiot no need to be scared of it.

There is no reason to upgrade your CPU. You won't see any benefit.

Anyway, there's no CPU to replace your build. Yours is already on the top of gaming, it should last your 5 years without a problem, Same thing for your GPU. There's just no way to gain more performance for 1440p.

im sure the 4790k will ,last longer than 2020, we've seen Intel CPUs from 2010 that are still popular, and still being used.

Actually there is. But that also depends on his monitor's refresh rate.

For a 144Hz monitor it would actually be worth it to get another 980Ti.

the CPU will turbo to a fast speed even with the cooler you have its fine, if you want to spend money then make a new build if your so conscious, like damn.
