Who do you think leads in the "Racing" genre?

ANIMAL_ORIGIN

I started playing Grid 2 yesterday and I'm astounded at the mechanics and the actual quality of racing.

I played Most Wanted (2012) when it came out and although I didn't like the concept much (it lacked massively in that area) the racing was decent, but I'll never play it again. I think Codemasters has been very consistent with their games save for games like Dirt Showdown which I thought was a bit of a mess. Grid 2 on the other hand is such a great game.

So in your opinion who do you think is the best PC Racing game developer?

Codemasters. F1 2012 and Dirt 3 are amazing. The only games I play besides Planetside 2 from my library of 30+ games.

IMO they have just been ruining the Need For Speed franchise on the whole..

I don't know anyone who didn't love that game. It's such a classic! :)

I always loved when the cops were on you and I tried to get the police cars to run over what ever the helicopters dropped.

by far, Forza 4 has been the most enjoyable. if only MICROSOFT MAKER OF WINDOWS would make it for PC at high res.

Need for Speed Most Wanted. The original...after that...things got weird for NDFSPD. Way too weird...in a bad way.

I love CodeMasters, they seem to be the best IMO. I love how the cars in F1 are so precise and have tons of grip. The other side is DiRT (3) where the car slides well and your constantly fighting to navigate the dirt/snow/gravel tracks. They seem to have the black and white of every racing type. Now if we could only get a game (like Forza 5, with the indy cars and normal cars) but just for PC. (Exclusive too, there are waaaay too many sims on PC IMO, and not enough soft core sims like forza and Grandturismo)

Yeah the mechanics with cops were to just follow so every time I play, I have fun making them crash on civilian cars :)

I think most Sim racers lead in the racing genre just because on games like iRacing it's extremely clean and people play it for that. Project CARS looks very good though and I wouldn't be surprised if it gets a massive following.

Granturismo 4 is my most played game and it clashs with pokemon to be the best game that ive ever played. With 600hours clocked on it(on my current save and this is my 6th playthrough) i cant help but be pissed about gt5. Im sad that i will never get to play granturismo 6, ive played forza 4 as well just as much as granturismo but i still listen GT is better and i hope those that get gt6 enjoy it. dunno how the hell they made it 1080p
