So i've been playing the bo3 beta today and yesterday. Now i havent played the last 5 cods(mw3,blops,blops2,ghosts,aw) and really these past 2 yrs its mostly been CSGO for me anyway. But I thought I would give the Black ops 3 beta a try and try to see how cod is again and to be honest I like it. Again maybe it's because I play CS so competitively that I wanted to try something more casual but honestly I like the new COD sure it is filled w a shit ton of abilities and weird maybe over the top equipment, guns, killstreaks but I dont take the game too seriously just for some pure fun and I like it.

Good game but there's still problems I hope Vonderharr fixes before the game release because he's really been communicating with people on Twitter about the beta

It was actually better than I thought. Sure, there were a few weapons that were way too op, but overall it was ok. The only thing that really bothers me with CoD is it's community. Most of the time you only play with and against little kids that are somewhere between 11 and 14 years old...

Not bad, but dont see very much improvement form the other games, other than borrowed features from the likes of advanced waarfare/ titanfall.

Hoping the zombies will be good...

I like it, aside from the performance issues...which will hopefully be fixed when the game is actually launched (With a 780, playing on lowest settings I normally get 140-200fps, but then it will randomly drop down to 20 and stay there for a few minutes...for some reason.

This issue seems to be for the 780s for what ever reason. A friend of mine has a 780 with a 4790k and with low settings and with no AA he gets just under 50 fps and has never gotten any higher while i have a 3570k and 760 and i have 170fps or there abouts. We both put the same settings to see if we could work out why this is happening but it was futile. He then got one of his friends who has a 780 but wioth a 3770k and he too is getting sub 60fps and this is without the FPS cap in game.

I had lag that does not want to go away and random crashing of the game.

I find the game was good and yes i too hate the wall running and high jump crap but it was good overall.

Your friends are having a different issue, with everything at ultra I was getting like 90FPS, and with everything at low I'm getting over 140 -- it's just for pieces of time where it drops to the 20s.

So many bugs!!!! For a beta and a game thats been in dev for 3 years or more using the same engine as every other cod i would of expected it to be much more polished, the amount of times that game crashed was ridiculous and the paint shop just being completely broken, im assuming these will be all fixed but im really not holding my breath after playing the beta. Out of all 8 cods i've played this was the first to hurt my hands so i really hope they do something about the crouching, every time i drop shot i have to smash my analog stick so hard im going to end up breaking my controller very soon. I hate the jumping too, i really thought cod understood the dislike for jumping in AW but obviously not which was quite disappointing, other than that i like it although it does just feel like black ops 2 re-skinned but thats just cod.

They got the drops too to the 20s as well. This all happened after the game update on saturday morning. Just thought i would share.

I couldn't run it???
Had a hard time getting more than 30-40fps stable, with lots of drops to 20's?

Higher frame rate over higher resolution.

Managed to run it pretty well to be honest. Completely full graphics @ 1920x1080/144hz and I was at around 180-200 fps with a 4670k/980TI/16GB DDR3.

Will admit there is stupid frame drops so I had to use adaptive vsync to try attempt to get rid of the freeze/crashes to actually be able to keep my KDA and annoy the little kiddies.

It was okay until I realised that the mouse sensitivity needs to be whacked up to max to get even vaguely decent on screen reactions from my character. And that kinda broke the game for me, I couldn't turn fast enough to be able to keep up with my brain, unlike in nearly every other (barring all CoD games) first person game!!!

no it doesnt you prob have low dpi  set on your mouse?

Nope i set it to like 1600. And in other games I get perfectly playable speeds on the same settings (but sensitivity turned down)

i actually have mine at 1600 too and if i put up the slider only a littlebit its pretty sensitive

Oh hell no. I turned all that shizz off the moment I set up windows.

Err... I use 400dpi with a sens of 2.5 ingame. How the hell you can play with such a high sensitivity and still say its too low I'll never know haha
