wow, im shocked with the amount of people who actually filled out the spreadsheet! :) thankyou all so much, keep them coming :P i may start tonight or topmmorow morning, got some stuff to do now :P

workin on it! using fraps so should be accurate 

fraps is the best way to get fps

Remind me again how this will work, you're going to pick out the lowest performing component, then return a FPS, temp or performance result for it?

im not sure, i think what im going to do is have it similar to pcpartpicker, you pickout your computer specs, and it tells you how it should perform and what other people say about them components :) its a start then things can become more complex

no i just had a shower and it was fine before :/ its a bit later than the current one

Nope, Steam is the best way. It has a built-in FPS counter, which is just as accurate as fraps. (look for it in the In-game settings)

Why use a third party software when you can just use Steam. (also works with non-steam games, if you launch them from steam)

does it record min, max, avg? If i only want to monitor it i use afterburner but it does not record and average (afaik)

And not all games are on steam :)
