windows 10 running slow and stucks

RoNNoR

A few days ago I installed a new ssd (SanDisk SSD Plus 240GB) on my second computer and decided to freshly install windows 10 on it instead on my old HDD.

At first I thought everything is great and windows seemed to be running faster. But lately EVERYTHING started to run really really slow (even when I'm writing this there is a 3 second delay for each letter I type).

My computer is old - bought it back in 2008(!), but before the fresh install of windows it ran pretty good.

I have no Idea what may have caused it to run so slowly but before I reinstall Windows once again I thought to ask here if anyone has an idea to what could have gone wrong.

I'd appreciate any advice.

Check task manager that some backgroud service like superfetch isnt eating cycles.

Also disable the Microsoft Spyware and Tracking stuff.
