7 Days to Die Kickstarter

Hey guys,

Windspeed36 posted this in his status update, but I felt like making a thread on it just for those who aren't his friend (who wouldn't be? But wtv).

Here's the kickstarter (8 days left as of posting)

It's basically a mixture of a zombie survival game and Minecraft. It's as awesome as it sounds.

While some suck (Duke Nukem Forever) some rock (Doom 3 & RAGE). So yeah. I have high hopes for this game.

And do note that those are guaranteed as they said they are coming, but getting that much money would make it happen faster. I am willing to bet they will break $300,000 before the Kickstarter is over. They get about $10,000 a day and are currently at $227,000 with just over 8 days left.

What do you guys think? I'm loving it. I love all things zombie. I've spent well over 200-300 hours in Day Z (Mod for ARMA 2) which I enjoyed.

My particular favorite though is the $500,000 road map objectives. "Major World Terrain Enhancement: Cubic Landscapes become Smooth Terrain, World remains fully destructable & buildable". Hell yes. :D

This is basixcally DayZ and Minecraft? Why isn't there a government program supporting this? @Windspeed36 made me aware of it and I have already donated 100$ to the game

Well, if you found DayZ boring, you didn't explore it enough imo. It was buggy, but it was a pretty good mod honestly. Anyway, this is from big name developers (or at least the people who work for them) and is an independently made game (unlike Day Z that piggy backed off of Arma 2's engine), so I'd expect it to be pretty good.

@Windspeed36, the forums search doesn't work apparently.

The Title of your thread is "7 Days to Die" and I searched the forums for "7 Days to Die" and your thread wasn't shown, at all. 6 pages of threads and none of them yours. Tags are nice things, but I don't know if that'd help or not.

*sigh* can't be blamed if the search function doesn't work.

Most are crap, but no it hasn't because there aren't enough good ones. This one looks good so far.
