So I been wanting a gaming laptop for sometime because I like having well, things to be honest plus college and such. But I don't want to break the piggy bank.

So I was looking at some cheaper APU-8 laptops and I came across this bad boy for a good 289$

and from the reviews it seems you can upgrade the RAM so I was thinking of changing the stock RAM to this ram purchasing two sticks.

because you know APU's work better with higher speedy RAM.

Do you think this is a good idea? Yes or no ?

Also if so and its a good idea. Do you have any guides to replacing such RAM to that laptop?

I have a A10 Lenovo Edge that actually has a second GPU in it that runs in Dual Graphics mode... how does it do in games? Not that great really...

I raid in WOW on Fri/Sat night and I like to go to a friends house one of those nights and use the laptop that way I actually surround myself with another human being for those three hours...

Does it work, yes. Does it work well, no. All my settings and pretty low, and that thing still feels like is building a grudge against me and will burn my house down in my sleep.

Will faster RAM help some, yes, that is a point about APU's in general and that will help boost performance a little.

Would I recommend it, if that is your price point? Sure I don't think you will find much better, and that RAM for that speed is a pretty good price.

But in the end my real recommendation is to get a SSD first, that 5400RPM drive will kill you... like it does me.... every week

And don't have super high expectations of graphics performance, this will be a platform that just allows you to play, not looks great while your playing

I might just be back after the last few years because Spez is an idiot and I'm making a point to start staying away from Reddit.
