im getting around 72 without side panel

There you go. Buy better fans or an aio cooler for either your cpu or gpu. Your case has plenty of slots if you get good fans to move air through them.

I personally prefer the venturi set, but if you don't have a window I'd suggest noctuas.

Can't verify these numbers with other reviews, but this website got 72C under load. http://www.bjorn3d.com/2015/06/msi-r9-390-gaming-8g-amd-300-series-with-a-custom-kick-from-msi/4/

Perhaps this is from open bench vs in closed space, tech power up got 83C on the 390x which like I said afaik actually has a slightly stronger cooler.

Now after playing for 30 minutes it gets to 92 degrees

See my option list. Only things you can do.

Btw I assume you have an air cooler for your cpu?

The other thing you can do is buy an aio for your cpu or gpu. It will reduce the temps of both as the heat will be directly dissipated out the case instead of into it.

Ofc, this is BY FAR the most expensive option, but it is arguably the easiest.

That depends on his cpu, it's cooler, and the total airflow in his case.

Eh? Watercool? Afaik no one has a waterblock for msi cards... One question, you have 2 fans pointing to your gpu yea? Do they point towards the fan of the gpu?

I can buy 5 shitty fans and regardless the case they would still be shitty. That's why I said airflow not case/fans.

No they point to the side, the fans are in the front of the case

Thermal tape and heat sink attachments. Unless the 390 cooler already uses separate vrm heatsinkgs in which case use the existing ones. The fan on the g10 mount is for the vrm.

No that's the exact opposite of what I said. I am saying that any choice of case is only one factor and overall airflow is the metric you should actually give a shit about.

Have you tested it without case panels on to remove any chances of airflow restrictions. On my H440 I keep the front panel off in the summer to get more air to my GPU

Yes. I do. I also believe he has an air cooler with a hot cpu dumping hot air into the case.

Temps inside the case shouldn't rise like that at all during full load.

For example in my case my load temps stablize (and oscillate around 3-4 degrees due to poorly tunes fan curves) within 2 or three minutes and never increase beyond there even when I do 5+ hour combined stress tests.

What fans, where and how many of each do you have running in your case?

Are they set to max speed? (And not tied to cpu temps which may be lower by a lot than the gpu temps....)

yeah its air cooled with a cryorig h7 stock speeds and voltage 5 fans 2 bowing on the gpu all fans at full speed
