Need opinions

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

Where are you shopping/located? Budget?

I don't recommend corsair cx series, heard way too many bad things about them. I can recommend evga.

EVGA and Corsair feature similar psus in that they use their higher end units that are excellent to sell other not-as-good ones that range from mediocre to just okay.

The CX series is similar to EVGA's B1 and they're both just okay--nothing particularly bad with either as value psus.

any 500w PSU will do.
Edit : meaning a good branded ones, i said any as i thought we were recommending the watts of the PSU that required to run that rig.

anyway,  CM CS500, Crosair CX/VS or if you can fund GS 600 will do.

Never say ANY 500w or any wattage PSU will do. Name reliable brands.

EVGA GS G2 or B2 are all good, ones.

Any XFX PSU is reliable and any SeaSonic PSU is reliable. You should, find one of these in your price range.

As some have said above, don't just buy any cheap PSU. I often consider the PSU one of most important components and I would definitely recommed you invest in a decent one from the start.

Above this you should look for a good OEM rather than a good brand. There are some good places to find out the OEM of PSUs, I really like RealHardTechX's PSU database as it links to reputable reviews as well:

http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/PSUReviewDatabase.html

The EVGA recommended above is a good HEC unit, if it works with your budget it would be a good choice.

"PSU brands are meaningless, look up the OEM."
