Hey Guys, I have a Intel Extreme Edition 5820k and GTX 970sli . But I need a good power supply ! Is Corsair RM 850W 80+ GOLD enough or Do I need to have a 1000W ?

BTW, I am going to do a little bit overclocking !

Get an evga g2 850w instead, usually a lot cheaper and it's a much better unit.

Get a EVGA GS G2 T2 P2 or PS

Any XFX

Any SeaSonic

Any Superflower

And Select Antec PSUs ( to many to name )

Also 750w would be good. 850w isn't needed until you get into 980Tis or AMD GPUs.

Definitely an EVGA G2 850W PSU is good.

For the money you spend on that, It's real worth.

Yup, get an EVGA G2 850w or a seasonic or xfx

Usually the 850G2 is around the same price as RM850 but performs a lot better.

There's nothing wrong with the RM as a unit it's just overpriced. I'd actually suggest the 850B2 which performs pretty much the same as the RM (asides from efficiency but that doesn't matter) and costs significantly less.

I'd vouch for the G2 850W, own the same unit myself and it's been absolutely freaking amazing as a PSU. feels absolutely solid.

Are you thinking of the GS2? The newer units with seasonic oem? I typically always see g2's cheaper unless it's being bought it europe.

Cause G2 is often on sale, regular price it is similar with the RM.

The B2 is Super Flower OEM

A 750W is plenty. Go for an EVGA B2/GS/G2 or something from XFX at that price point.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
