I don't know what I want to do for a living. I'm currently 15 and I'm going into my junior year of high school. For those who don't know what that is, it's the third year of high school. I have no idea what I want to do in the future. Any ideas?

Haha, to be honest that's what I originally planed to do but I heard that's a really hard field to get into.

Nobody of us can decide for you, think what you want to do.

I know, I was just asking for ideas.

You should atleast try. If that doesn't work out, then try the next best thing. :) Head for whatever you want to do man. You need something to aim for, but if you're 15 it might not be the first job you get. And who knows. Maybe in a few years, you might have changed and found other interests. At the age of 15 I surely didn't know what I wanted to do. :P

I always say get a jop at Mcdonalds or something similar. Do your school work and aim high and set your standards high. That way while your in college and doing well your
McDonald's job will pay bills and is a good reference for future employers

As for types of Job when i was your age i wanted to be a professional tennis coach.  I have ended up doing Sales jobs, Truck Driving, Car Detailing, Forklift warehouse work and only just now im a Professional Tennis Coach.

Both good advice. Thanks you. I will take my time and consider carefully what I want to do.

I mean since you've been gaming, from the looks of your rig, for quite sometime now and I'm pretty sure there are some character or game ideas that is floating in your head.

Personally never stop or flee from doing anything that's particularly hard. I mean if it's easy then that means everybody is doing it and there isn't much to gain.

besides it maybe hard, but I heard the PAY is AMAZEBALLS.

Don't worry. You still have tons of time to decide. I'm sure there will be alot of stuff going on at school like job fairs that can help. Also your advisor is sure to bring it up and you might want to talk to him. What you choose is also most likely to change and you wont have to decide until you take a bunch of college classes. In your first semester of college just take a couple classes you think you might be interested in and go from there.

Hey dude, I was in the same situation as you when I was 15, unless you've had a great interest in a certain field, you probably won't find anything until your later years in high school, once I started doing advanced networking in my last year at high school, I knew that's what I wanted to do, so I'm currently taking the steps to get there.

I had a few retail orientated jobs, working customer service roles, which definitely helps if you want to get a job later on when you're at university etc.

Good luck!

Join the military and get trained as a medic. You get training in an always-in-demand field (medical) and military benefits. If you want to see action, you could be enlist in the army and try to become a 68W, which is basically a "combat medic." (The medic attached to a unit that sees combat.) If you're feeling particularly gung ho, you could join the navy and try to become a hospital corpsman and subsequently attempt to be attached to a marine corps unit.

The best thing is, after your commitment is up, you have the training to enter the civilian world as a physician's assistant, first responder, etc.

Unfortunately, I'm in a household that would never approve of me joining the military. Not because we don't love the country or anything I would join any day if it were to come to it but my parents would never approve.

Soooo I'm going to guess that you're like me? Asian guy who is forced to excel by his overbearing parents? Then don't worry, do what I did, don't get a job and go to college on your parent's money. College is the best reference you'll ever have on your resume for the future. I plan on joining as a commissioned officer/doctor off HPSP when I finish school.

I suppose the better question is, what options do your parents have for you? Because that's sure as hell what my question was.

Never let your family decide whats best for you, you will end up with a job you hate. Go do something that you wanna do. Use the military to pay for college and you can get schooling for anything.
