hum. how would i do this?

Assuming they are on the same network (router) and homegroup in windows you should be able to access it. It is kind of hard to explain via text but there are many simple tutorials on youtube.  ;)

hello i have a WD blue laying around. what do you think i should i do with it? i will be getting a dell tower and laptop soon. thanks!

It won't fit in your laptop. Depends what are using the dell tower for? Main pc? If so put it in.

i don't have it yet. the man was having issues with dell so he got a mac.

Are you going to use it to replace your mac?
