Is this a good deal?

DaGameFace

Looking for a new laptop in the 14 inch ish range to replace my unfortunately dead M11x r3. I can get a new Lenovo Y40-80 with the following specs:

14.0" FHD LED AntiGlare (1920x1080)
i7-5500U

Radeon R9 M275 2GB
8GB 1600 ddr3
Hybrid 500GB 5400 RPM+8GB SSHD

4 Cell 48 Watt Hour Li-Polymer

Bluetooth Version 4.0

I can get that for $689, not sure how good/bad lenovo build quality is but have heard good things about customer service.

The laptop is in my price range, and has acceptable specs all around for what I expect to be using it for.

Don't get Lenovo stuff at the moment, they were just found to have software that tracks loads of the things that you do. It's not removable because it is implemented into the BIOS. They have released a statement saying that they won't produce anymore computers with this type of software on them. If you still want to get this laptop, wait about a month or so.

I wouldn't call it a good deal but I would call it acceptable. I certainly wouldn't call it a bad deal.
