I got my school laptop so hot folding that the fans were at 100 percent for 10 mins and then the whole computer immediately shut down :)

My rig: r7 1700 @ 3.9/1.35v, 16gb ddr4 3200, assorted rando SSDs, hx 1050, vega 64 1650/1025

Yes, that is what happens when you abuse a poorly cooled laptop, it will shut itself off to prevent damage.

Using the Chrome app, do you have it set to low? Should be fine with that.
