Okay so I now have a 980 G1 Gaming but I am torn as to what to do next.

I could sell my G1 for £360 on Reddit then Buy 2 x 970s for £200 each (and of course add the money on)

Or I could watercool my 980 and then just prepare for another 980 (will be a long time before I can afford)

selling your 980 to get 2 970s is really pointless you will have more issues, if you really wanna SLI I would say get another 980.

How is it pointless when 970 SLI outperforms a 980 Ti? These issues are also blown out of proportion

Sell the 980 and get a 980Ti?

Personally I do not recommend 970 SLI in your situation.

Nah, if i'm adding that much money on top of me selling my 980 it's not worth. 970 SLI or 980 SLI are my next upgrades, 980 Ti in my situation is stupidly not worth it

FPS will be higher for a while but whenever a game comes out you will have to wait for SLI profiles to be out or that game might have SLI disabled on purpose and even though I am not sure how long you are going to keep those cards I dont see a point for having a SLI 970 besides than just having a SLI system considering you will draw more power, you will overclock less with stock coolers, your other components will run quite warmer than before therefore you could end up spending more and more.

I'd say that the only really logical upgrade would be to go to a 980Ti. If not that, you're best off sticking with the 980.

Wait you only have a 1080p screeen do you? In this case a 980Ti is not a good advise sorry.

A GTX980 should be plenty for now, if you don't mind occational dipping under 144Hz. Does your system perform like it should?
