Liquid metal thermal paste with delid 3770k

Hi,

As the topic says, I was wondering if I can use fluid Metal thermal paste between the Die and IHS of my delidded 3770k? There are no Smd elements or other blank curcuits next to the Die so the only two questions that are left (if I dont forget something) are:

Will the thin layer of this kind of paste be enough or will there be too much room between Die and IHS?

Is the Die made of Aluminum or another metal that reacts with gallium?

Thanks in advance for you taking your time reading and/or helping me with this

@Karon

I used coolaboratory's liquid ultra, it works perfectly (ok, i have a 4770k, but yes, will work also with yours). Yes the layer will be enough, make sure it makes contact with ALL the die though, otherwise THAT will be a problem. I don't know about gallium and aluminium, but I'd tell you to see someone doing it with the things you'd buy before doing it...
