I would use it. Godsend for me, me n my mates used to play CoD on xbox because it had splitscreen. Now we don't have to worry about it.

IMO Treyarch is the best CoD dev.

That would cause complaints of unfairness as the keyboard-mouse combination will almost always be more accurate and precise than a controller.

What would make sense is for them to make using an Xbox Controller compulsory for cross-play only. This should balance things out and I think it would be a great feature if implemented in this manner.

Not exactly, you can't equate things in this way:

keyboard-mouse + no aim assist =  controller + aim assist.

 

You simply can't have a completely balanced cross-platform game without unifying the variables (that matter) across the platforms.

Now let's wait and see if they don't screw it up with the FoV slider and just put a dumb sad bar without numbers to show the actual FoV.
