Cheapest 8GB gpu?

So I've been looking around and doing some research on what gpu to buy for my current monthly budget based build, now the GPU will be bought in September. Until now I have been leaning towards an r9 380 4GB card for around the $300CAD mark, but browsing NCIX today I came across an 8GB powercolor r9 390 for $419CAD.

So question time..

Does any one have any other (around the $300-$400 but not over $450) suggestions for solid cards?

Does any one have this powercolor card?

I would recommend R9 390.

I plan to be doing some streaming and content creation with this build, and would rather it have some room to spare than be lacking an pissing me right off. I've always been stuck with shit hand me down computers. I'm tired of the obsoleteness as well

second vote for the 390, cards been killing it in the market, and the improved bits over the 200 series make it worth the money, unless you can get a killer deal on a 290x

The Powercolor card is decent. It's very loud on the stock fan curve, and mine can't OC, but I must've just lost the lottery as others have been able to get 200+ MHz.

Thanks for the input! I want to watercool the card so fans arent an issue, finding a block that is a confirmed fit is the hard part

Not really no. Not once the 290x 8gb is flashed to a 390x bios.

Yea I don't feel comfortable with that kind of stuff yet though like simple oc with afterburner or something is as far as I really wanna go, never overclocked before, wish I learned when I was 10 and using win95 hah

Fair enough, then yes it uses marginally more power.

Don't get a 380 it's a pointless gpu, it's a rebranded 285 with more vram but still shite.

Amd said it was for 1440p on their release stream, who were they kidding.
