This has been in place for a while.  Where have you been?

Actually, YouTube has stopped doing this for me as of a few days ago.  I don't know why.

Have had this for years I think, but it has always been kind of broken. Usually they are just marked as "Watched" for a few days, so if a follow some series (Like MyMusic) I whatch some episodes one day. Then a week later I have no idea where I stopped |<

But yeah, I have noticed it beeing totally broken the last few days

This has been used for months, possibly over a year AFAIK. At first it didn't work too well but it's been working pretty well for me ever since they switched to the new layout. After I watch a video it remains greyed out for about 2 days then it returns to normal.

Same, I've had this for ages, and recently it broke....

THIS I want it back so badly, I watch 20-30 videos a day sometimes in random order and can't always tell by the title and image if I watched it already, I've wasted so much time this past week watching the first minute or so of videos before realizing I've already watched it.

GIVE IT BACK GOOGLE  :(

Same here...  now I have to install addblock so I can check the videos to see if I've watched it.  I've given up already and stopped watching past videos.  Looks like they don't care, just looking at how playlist are handled.  Can't even play for oldest to newest.

If their objective is to get more views, it's not working for me.

It just doesn't work for me. Sometimes it sais "watched" but only sometimes. Maybe Google can't afford a user to watch a video only once! "Ok, I'll just disable it when I can advertise again on that"!
