do what i said and don't connect it to a screen, see if it fires up....

I detect a bit of sarcasm... If im wrong then, what do you mean by "see if it fires up"?

the fans start spinning and pc starts ticking over.,...If you have no screen/ monitor you aren't going to be able to diags properly

Which is why I need the error code, far out the code would make it so much simpler

It stayed on for a few more seconds. Then shutoff. Is that a good sign? Do you still need the error code?

stripping it down will find out whats wrong with it, if it works stripped down its one of the components you have taken out that is causing the problem, you need to try one stick of ram at a time....

 

If its not firing up after doing this, its one of 3 things, dead motherboard, dead psu or dead CPU.....stripping down is always the first thing you should do if your PC wont power up properly, agree getting a error code would be helpful but going to be very hard to obtain if the PC won't stay powered.

here is the error code video if I can figure out how to upload it to here.

Idk if you can see it. But if you cant, the last code was either A0 or AO. It is hard for me to tell which one it was... Hopefully this helps....

It's actually that control has been given to the boot device, this is what should be displayed... I'm assuming this is the code that was gotten when the PC didn't shut down then? If it is the same code that was gotten when the PC shut down then you have a problem with your HDD or SSD

I shut it down when it got to the AO code. should I leave it on longer?

My internet is slow, but I'm going to assume I stand corrected. However on Gigabyte boards that is what message usually gets displayed when the computer is on and running normally.

 

I shut it down when it got to the AO code. should I leave it on longer?

Yeah, even though it appears I was wrong you should at least see if it boots into windows. If it does then you can use software to diagnose

The codes its showing are just the post check codes, the actual error codes are on page 119
