Hey i got an idea, lets put everybody in a prison & everything will be safe & organized!

Going to come to that unless people wake the hell up.

If always had that idea it could happen eventually, but i never hear that some one did it, or just rc cart with bomb strapped to it driving it straight into populated area.

an RC helicopter can do that also and we had them for a while and nobody cared

quadcopters can carry much higher loads easier, much easier to fly, and come with POV cameras on them

I knew this would happen after that guy strapped a 9 millimeter handgun to a drone and manages to fire the gun. Now, according to the us homeland security, my tiny cheerson cx10 nanoquad (by nano, I mean small enough to fit in the palm of my hand) with its plastic propellers is just as dangerous as a predator. Way for a few idiots around the states with their camera drones to ruin it for those who are responsible

This is plain stupid. I think if some wanted to use a remote control vehicle they would not use a drone. They would use a armored robot they made themselves. I drone you have to learn to fly can be easily taken down and needs to be light weight. Why don't we ban guys they could be used for an attack, OH WAIT they have

quadcopters can carry much higher loads easier, much easier to fly, and come with POV cameras on them

you can put a POV camera on a RC helicopter and you can make a RC helicopter that can carry heavier loads

thats the thing though, they are MUCH more expensive. to get a helicopter to carry a DLSR is VERY expensive, and takes lots of time, effort, difficult to fly, ect. 

 

 

 

Im comparing quads to helicopters to carrying DLSRs for loads, as their weight is comparable to a lot of loads

not blaming the tool. not saying we should ban it. 

 

its simply stating it MAY be used for a new form of attacks. which makes sense. as it MAY be used for that. its something law enforcement and such will have to look out for. 

 

 

when cars can drive themselves, guess what? there will be another report saying they will have to counter self driving cars. simply how it works. will they be banned because they can be loaded with explosives? probably not. but hell yes they will look into ways to counter it.

Everything can be used for some form of attack, that's the first things you should think about it when making anything, you need to think of the worst and figure out ways to prevent it,

we know we can't control every human on Earth so we just have to trust that most of them are not going to do something stupid, a few will do stupid things that's for sure, but that's something very hard to fix.

This is stupid. As if drones haven't been around for long enough. I don't think a terrorist would spend £1000/£2000+ on a drone just to blow it up. Also not forgetting that these things can't carry massive loads anyway. Lets also not forget built-up areas filled with 2.4GHz interference making the drone almost impossible to control anyway.

 

Organisations should do their research before drawing to assumptions. Yes, this is possible, not not anywhere near 'worth it' in my opinion.

 

Besides the countries that terrorists could most likely originate from (Iraq for example) probably don't even sell drones yet (or ever actually) Sounds slightly racist and I don't like it
