Looking to buy a gtx 970 or 980. Which company is best?

bf314159

Hi so I am looking to buy a 970 or 980, but there are so many companies that make them, that i am not sure which one is best. Some of the cards i don't see a difference/ reason why one is better than the other. Most of them seem to have similar cooling, power delivery, etc. Any suggestions? Price doesn't really matter. Getting the cheapest one is great if it also is the best, but it doesn't really matter if another offers more.....

Thanks!

I swear by MSI but others will have different opinions.

Top 3 would be (in no particular order) MSI, Gigabyte & Asus.

  • Gigabyte: Apparently great overclocking but no 0db fan mode, 3xDisplayport.

EVGA: legendary customer service, a lot of selection to choose from, (some models have) 0db fan mode, some models have 3xDisplayport.

ASUS STRIX: made for silence and low power consumption, but there it pretty much ends. It has a 0db fan mode. Only 1xDisplayport.

MSI: All rounder. Has a 0db fan mode for silence, and has okay on everything. Only 1xDisplayport though.

Basic guide to CPU's!

If I said I were 14, you would call me a kid. If I say 70, you’ll entitle me too old. If I say 20 you say I’m inexperienced and if I say 40 than I'm too boring.
