I upgraded to win 10 and now I have no internet

Reboot your PC, it should come back, if it doesn't, try looking in the zip file of the network drivers for a .exe or .msi file to run to install the drivers.

Ok, its back now. But i still have the problem with no internet and it still wont let me update to that version because it says the drivers are up to date

Uninstall the device in device manager. Also grab your install key and do a fresh install from appropriate 10 installation media instead if that doesn't work

TOSHIBA Satellite P850 with Core i7-3610QM,8gb of ram,default 750hdd has dual screens via a external display as main and laptop display as second running windows 10

Do not do the last part, a friend of mine also lost his internet after a Windows 10 upgrade and because there was no connection his Windows never got activated so when he did do a fresh reinstall the PC wasn't recognized as genuine and thus did not activate.

Go to your MOBO website find your MOBO go to downloads and find the internet one. My was Killer Networking.

The newly generated key needs an intial activation?

 

Yes, I believe it links the key to your account. The key is generated partly from your motherboard, so it becomes an OEM key.

I believe Windows 10 also does a check every couple of months to see if the key is still valid (for those who crack W10)

It's not a race to the bottom.
