I'm a gamer who has no idea about computers and need help!

I am a gamer who wants to start streaming and does not know anything about computers. I heard that the i7 4790k was a great processor for streaming, so i created a build with it. I then heard about the new i7 5820K and thought that its newer and has 6 cores w/ hyper threading so it must be better! However, because I am not smart with computers i thought of coming here and asking the community. I already have an EVGA GTX 770 4GB and a 1TB SanDisk SSD so I do not need to worry about storage or graphics. Also if you have any suggestions on what else I should add or change they would be much appreciated! These are my two builds:

Changed the PSU to a better one. (Fully modular and more efficient, for the same price)

And changed the cooler out for a better one.

go with the one with the 5820K. If you decide to get the 4790K one, wait for Skylake CPUS and the core i7 6700k

PC is Intel Core i5 6400, GIgabyte H170 Gaming 3, Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x4GB 2400Mhz ,Sandisk Ultra Plus 128GB, WD Blue 1TB, NZXT S340, ASUS Geforce GTX 960. Fractal Design Tesla R2 650W. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/793XNG. Graphics card choices don't always have to be dictated on performance. If you want the game stream and power consumption of the GTX 970 get that. If you want raw performance of the R9 390 get that. In the end we are all gamers, so what if your buddy gets an extra 5 fps?

I would have gone with the Quad Core and upgraded the Graphics to something a bit beefier. The GPU's have hardware H.264 encoder/decoders built in, which means you can stream with no noticeable effects to performance.

okay

4790k. you don't need a full tower Use a EVGA Supernova instead of a Corsair CSM and NEVER SAY YOU DON'T NEED STORAGE, YOU'LL KILL THAT POOR SSD

Install WINDOWS and the programs you use MOST ONLY ON THE SSD; something like this will be much better.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($328.99 @ SuperBiiz)

What is your take on liquid cooling, I never feel safe using it just because of the risks that comewith it. I am mainly worried because i plan on using this Comp for a while

you'll kill that thing

you should NEVER put EVERYTHING on an SSD, even if you want to you should ALWAYS have a backup drive.

SSD's can and will fail eventually.

Liquid cooling from AIO is fine, its the same as air, just with a radiator and some fans, it gets more difficult when you do full custom loops

So will HDDs. SSDs are not un-reliable today, that might have been a problem in 2009

Would the Fractal Designs R5 be a better case?

And does this mean you recommend the i7 4790K over the i7 5820K?

So it would be ok if i did decide to go with that? That would also mean i could overclock right???

I've had three different liquid cooling units, all of which have been reliable. Just buy a good unit from a good brand and don't puncture or bend it.

And HDDs won't? Written data is a bigger killer, and OP probably won't write enough data to it in 10 years to kill it.

The Define R5 isn't really a better case, both the 750D and R5 are good. Get what you like. As for the CPU, a 5820K is likely overkill for what you're doing.

The only reason i would want to upgrade to the 5829K is so i could use the newer DDR4 ram and use it for much longer. I plan on keeping this build for a while.

I am looking for overkill just so i wont have to upgrade as soon as i might have to with the 4790k

DDR4 is not much more powerful than DDR3, it is the CPU that would really last you a long time. As the cost of the extra $$.

If you are willing to pay the price premium for X99, yes. That CPU is super OP and will last a long time.

K thank you. And as for OC'ing, would it be worth it to buy an AIO and oc the CPU?? Also is that safe? I have never oc'd and dont know if i trust myself to do it properly
