Help with my first PC build.

Hey guys this is going to be my first PC build ever and im wanting some help. The aim for this build is too create a gaming PC for just oVER 300$. The price is currently 335$. I have made a part list on pcpartpicker

-AMD FX-4100 3.6ghz

-Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard

-8gb crucial ballistics RAM

-1TB Seagate barricuda

-MSI GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Video Card

-Rosewill FBM-01 case

That is PC list. So can u guys give me some tips or give me some better parts that may bring the cost down without loss of specs. I am going to stay with the AM3+ socket btw. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank so much.

I don't plan on overclocking. And I would like to stay away from the Pentiums mostly because there dual core and pretty much so have to be overclocked for gaming. AM2 are cheaper but I want the AM3+ so I can upgrade later on

But pricier, also try to get the r7 265 in the list it beats out the 750ti usually at the same price.

I don't think the pentium would be any slower than the CPU's you are looking at from AMD. And plus, why not overclock the pentium? It was basically built to be overclocked.... You can't beat it in terms of bang for buck in gaming right now, at least on the cheap end.

Most people in this forum tend to be annoying in this regard, constantly telling you horror stories about one of their hard drives form WD or seagate failing and using it as a excuse to why you shouldn't buy the said brand. I'd just tell you to get the best deal or just pick the one based on how good the customer service of the said hard drive maker where you live.

There is the i3 4160, but you will need to spend more on that. There is also the 860K which sadly gets beaten in most games but the ones that require more than two cores.

that Seagate drive will do you just as well as any Western Digital. The whole "Seagate sucks" thing is way over-hyped with little backing behind it. I'm working in a data center and they buy exclusively Seagate Barracuda and Enterprise drives, so Seagate is doing something right

Well since you do not use any high power consuming parts yet you can keep it until you add a bigger CPU or GPU...

I chose the FX 4100, mostly because Intel's aren't as cheap, I wanted an FX, and this FX kept the price under 350$. That is the only reason I chose it. That is pretty much the one thing I don't like about the build. What's another CPU that is about the same price but maybe better?

Yeah I would pick a FX-43X0 of some kind cause those are 20% better.

1150 is a good one but its also dead/dying. (also did you consider a 270X or 370 or is the PSU problematic?)

I was planning on using a 240. But decided to go for GTX. What do u mean problematic?
