DirectX 12 is supported on the 500 series cards. It's been delayed according to Anandtech.

I have R9 270 and DirectX 12, but when i go to gta V, the DirectX in there is still 11, and i can't change to 12, so idk what to do? GTA V patch or what? Running win 10.

The game must implement DirectX12 to take advantage of it. As of now GTA V does not implement the new version of Direct3D.

I finally find solution to my problem. What i did is open NVIDIA control panel head to MFAA and turn it off, after i turn it off i close NVIDIA control panel and rerun DxDiag. BAM! DX12 finally show on Dxdiag.
