New gpu

Hi everyone.

I am upgrading my pc bit by bit, and i have reached the time for upgrading my gpu, and i found the msi gtx 960 gaming 4gb

my specs are;

I5 3,5gz quad core

Evga gtx 750 1gb

Gigabyte gaming 7 mobo

250gb kingston v3 ssd

500gb western digital

cooler master v series 750 watt psu

12gb of crucial ddr3 ram

 

Will the 960 be a good replacement for the 750?

its a good upgrade but i would prefer the r9 280x or even the r9 290 if they are in your price range, because they have much better price/performance. Also if you buy the 960 dont buy 4gb version because it doesnt have the performance to back it up

The MSI 390 on NewEgg is 30 bucks above your budget...if you could fork that out I'd definitely go for it.

yes thats one of the best aftermarket r9 290, i would seriously save up for that, since the 960 has abou 75% performance of an r9 290. If power consumption isnt a big deal for you (wich it shouldn´t) get that card

Unfortunatly if i wanted that card, i'd have to wait another month. And i know. another month for a better card is not that bad, but since i am not able to put as much money aside as i'd like, it's a bit steep

@HbuskM alright when you said 150 above your budget I assumed you were from the U.S. or something, gotta specify currencies Yeah a GTX 960 will be fine then.
