How to measure the Fan Size ?

Dencel
Go to solution Solved by GlassBomb,

It's measured from A-B/A-C. The distance between the mounting holes, or just across the whole fan.

Edit:

How to measure the Fan Size ? Please.....

FROM

A TO B

A TO C

or

Blue line Side to Blue line Side ?

How?

You need to measure the length of the fan itself. Not the case it's in.

It's a bit less than A to B

A-B or A-C the fan should be square or there is something wrong. Fan sizes use mm(millimeters) so 120mm = 12cm so in your case measure from the center of the A hole to the center of the B hole. The most common sizes are 120mm and 140mm. Just check the orientation for intake and exhaust.

Like said, its distance between mounting holes measured along the frame. I wouldn't advice doing it like:

... or just across the whole fan.

Because it just messes someone who doesn't clearly get it.

E: The typing errors... makes things look quite opposite.
