half memory half reading skills. I can read and play AR11 somewhat decently with like a 70-75ms offset (sightreading). 144Hz monitor helps too.

I assume using a tablet is far superior to the mouse though right?

 

I found out I could press Z instead of left mouse and it made things much easier

you can press Z or X like you can use left and right mouse click.

 

Tablet isn't really superior. It has less of a learning curve, but it's all preference. I kinda regret getting tablet because now I suck with mouse and mouse IS fun.

Use your keyboard. I started with mouse only and raged a lot until I realized that I can use keys too. R and G are my current left and right buttons and I find it comfortable.

Most high ranked people prefer tablet, but IMO it`s not superior to mouse. There are some really good mouse players.

Btw you can also alternate between Z+X or change those buttons to other in the settings.

Yea I noticed people using tablets more on the fast beatmaps, my optical sensor seems to struggle with the spinners so I occasionally use the mod that does them for you if there's a lot of them

I would recommend getting a tablet if you think you're gonna play a lot of osu!. I got mine I think 1 or 2 months after I got properly into it. I think I have like maybe 3-6 thousand plays with a tablet so I'm pretty used to it.

im just playing it for fun atm, usually while just waiting for people to turn up

Try to keep the cursor as close as possible to the center of the spinner. It takes some practice, but if you learn how to do spinners they`re not that hard.

Define "playing a lot of osu".

Almost 400 plays for 12 days are a lot right?

I'm not sure if it counts only finished plays, because I restart pretty often.

Well I'm getting better, I did double speed + hard rock on some of the easier ones I could do and I managed alright (~85% accuracy) .

Nice. You're improving faster than me. I'm currently trying DT on 2 star beatmaps.

It's a huge thing amongst HR players. Hover over the performance graph after a play and it'll show your UR.

I have just passed a Extra difficulty for the first time. I actually managed to aim CS7 better than I expected.

You can see your UR when you hold the cursor on the graph. Only works if you just played it or just watched the replay though.

I'm gonna be doing hidden training today, I stopped play hidden for some reason and got really bad at reading it again. Oh well time for perfect SDHD mods to be on all day today
