Dear laptop manufacturers, why not unplug battery at 100%?

I always leave my laptop plugged in, full or not, and it hasn't suffered any issues. And it's a 400 dollar laptop. It works fine for me.

Current Rig: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, Abit IN9-32MAX nForce 680i board, Galaxy GT610 1GB DDR3 gpu, Cooler Master Mystique 632S Full ATX case, 1 2TB Seagate Barracuda SATA and 1x200gb Maxtor SATA drives, 1 LG SATA DVD drive, Windows 10. All currently runs like shit :D

Lithium batteries don't really suffer from this, and in laptops they have circuits attached to them which act as controllers for these types of things. It's not like an iPod battery where it's just a battery and two terminals, they are actually quite sophisticated these days. Your laptop does a good job at protecting itself from overcharging. It has to according to safety regulations, considering how volatile large Li-ion cells can be when used incorrectly. Wouldn't want your laptop to set on fire.
