8GB HyperX FURY or 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport

Go to solution Solved by VioDuskar,

Very simple question. (I need now a pc cant wait for Skylake :( )

8GB HyperX FURY 1866 CL 10          47,94 €

8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport  1600 CL 9         47,30€

Mobo will be Z97-K from Asus

I know differences will be small...but price difference is nihil so what i want to know: is the latency more important or the clock speed?

Or should i go for the looks (then off course the Fury X wins)

honestly neither clock speed or latency is noticeable

i say get tracer ram.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

Voted turnip, because it won't matter either way. I'd get the one you like the look of more (Fury) and then try to tighten down the timings.

What color?  And does your cooler fit with it, that is most important

Now I want to see how a turnip would look in a ram slot.
