Hi.The thing is this.A friend of mine has a decent pc but the problem is that the gpu is kinda weak. The cpu is a i3 550 and the gpu is an radeon 5750.He would like and gpu upgrade but i can't decide what to get not to bottleneck the cpu.I don't want the cpu to be at 99% and the gpu at 50%.What i was think of in the first place is a r9 270 but i think that is too much so i think a 750ti would be the best choice.Any advices?

Why not go for another CPU first then GPU?

None of your problems will be solved in the long run if the CPU keeps holding back any upgraded GPU.

Because the pc will be replaced in 1-2 years and will be give to his mother.

226 euro/245 us dolars maximum.

You should be able to find a 380 or 280X for around that price. Just grab whatever is cheaper.

For that you could get a R9 280x or 380

Yes i could get him that but will be a bottleneck. He will replace the whole thing in 1 year at most.I need to find something that will work at 99% along with the cpu.

Unless he is playing heavily CPU bound games the 380/280X won't be bottlenecked. If you still don't want to go with those get a 270X or 370, maybe a GTX760 if you can find one.

What? No . .. just no.

Some are indeed CPU intensive but others couldn't give a rat's ass about the CPU. Most games will use the GPU at 100% whereas the CPU at 50-60% so no, GPU is more important for gaming.
