Best thing to upgrade my system?

Alopez

all right, so I am currently stuck with an AMD 9590 for at least a year, so no Intel for me unfortunately. Anyway, here is my build:

What would you guys suggest I do if I want to see an increase in performance (fps mainly) during gaming? I've been told that doing SLI isn't handled well by my cpu, so maybe ditch the 770 I have and go for a 970? It's just more expensive. Please help!

In your situation I would sell the 770, and save (if you can) to buy something like a 980. And i've personally have never heard that the 9590 doesn't handle SLI well.

A better bigger SSD and GPU for sure.

For the SSD a crucial bx100 or Samsung 850evo.

GPU I'd get an r9 fury if it's in the budget, if not an r9 390

Assuming I'm okay with my current SSD, an r9 390x would be the best option? It performs better than the 970? And is there any truth to the fact that my cpu doesn't handle SLI very well?

If you're playing 1080p then a 390 would do fine. It depends on what games and resolution also which cards you're using on whether or not your CPU would bottleneck a dual GPU setup
