Why on earth are sleeved sables so damn expensive? I was looking at stuff from CableMod cause Linus said they were cheaper, and they're $100, which for me seems to be crazy high. Why is this? Is there a cheaper way of getting the same results?

Forgive me if my question wasn't so clear. I'm super tired.

Yes, you do it yourself.

It is relatively cheap for a full set of cables, considering custom ones will often cost that much at least just for CPU, 24pin and PCIe cables.

EDIT: Also, the reason they're expensive is because of the time it can take to do. It's pretty cheap to do it yourself, but it can be a pain and it takes a long time.

it's a lot fo work, so there's a lot of labor costs involved. You can do it yourself (or buy extensions) for far less.

For that price it's not bad at all, sleeved cables are very very time consuming if you do them by hand or custom ones, I assume that Cable Mod has equipment that either sleeves it for them or aids in the process.

Custom sleeved cables are expensive.

You can buy sleeved cable extensions, and that will be much cheaper, but you cant get custom designs/multiple colours in the cables.

Silverstone and bitfenix have a bunch of multiple colours

IMO extensions are the best solution, because sleeving your own cables is a massive feat, requires a lot of time and patience, and will end up costing you over $100 anyway for all the tools and parts

I knew about that, I just didn't want to do it.. though I may end up doing it just because it's a cool project and I have nothing to do over the summer (still a student)

Although buying extensions like @Enderman said might just be what I end up doing, since it's probably cheaper.
