Editing of this kind isn't really a pick up and go to it kinda thing it takes a lot of time to learn what you are doing  I've been using PS for...about 10 years I have some basic  formal education on it but ya there is no way in hell I could pull this off.

Okay, so it looks like some cigarette smoke is coming out of his mouth, he's wearing cool shades and there's some fun lighting.

The smoke looks like it's been photoshopped after about half way but I can't be sure.

Sig under construction.

there is more photography then photoshop. It would be much easier to ACTUALLY do it with photography then try photoshopping it.

Is it bad that my dream setup only costs a few thousand not counting the obutto?

Photoshop is an INCREDIBLY powerful tool, my education didnt go beyond just learning the basics on how to use it (unforitnately) but you can go to collage/uni just to learn about how to properly utilize photoshop. There are tools within PS I still have not the tiniest idea on what they are even for, much less how to utilize them properly. im sure you can find a specific tutorial on how to do something like this specifically if you look enough but as was mentioned there is some photography and PS in there.  But ya dont be expecting to do stuff like this on your own without education in the software or a ton of screwing around and looking things up on your own.
