Got a 3TB drive for $75+tax, and a blue yeti silver (wanted the blackout version, but was too late). Overall, got stuff that was nice to have, but didn't "need" (Already have 2, 3TB drives in raid1, and my modmic 4 is performing just fine).

Wouldn't mind more of these days, just hope they don't/didn't hype it up as much.

TBH, I spent the whole day hoping for a 'Prime week' and more sales over the following days. Because at least in that scenario I could pretend that the sales they had were just an appetizer  or a bad joke and the good stuff was going to start the next day.

his point is just because it was underwhelming for YOU, it doesn't speak for everyone else.

Exactly, for $316aud (shipping included) I got a $290 SSD and a $120aud sound card and some thermal paste, would of cost over 450 to get the items shipped from within the country.

It was underwhelming for most. Thinking it was just me, I actually checked several different forums to see if I was missing something, and according to the many threads underwhelming is better than most would describe it.

Was there more prime day sale items than Black Friday, no.

Was there better deals than Black Friday, not really. Sure there were deals were very good, but there were less of them and even some stuff was more expensive than recent sales.

Does this mean there were no deals to be had? That's ridiculous. Of course there were deals, just not the kind or amount of deals that Amazon was hyping, hence underwhelming. So while that person and many others can get a few good deals, it doesn't mean it can't be underwhelming.

TL;DR

Your comment cuts both ways. Just because the other poster didn't think it was underwhelming doesn't mean they speak for everyone else.

it sucked. if they need to clear the warehouses, then just call it an annual clearance sale like everyone else does.

It doesn't cut both ways. Your statement is a blanket statement. His and mine were not.

that SSD is old as heck. its a SATA Gen 2 for petes sake. edit at least the one in the US that was on sale was a gen 2.

The MX100 is SATA-II? What?

I have 3 MX-100s already, 100% sata 3 (this will be my 4th drive).

since when is a personal opinion a blanket statement?

All I said was that it was spectacularly underwhelming, this was a personal observation and remark, which YOU took to mean as a statement for everybody. You made the statement a blanket statement all on your own. It also turns out by coincidence that many many many threads exists on many different forums that share a similar expression, or worse.

Finding a diamond in the rough does not equal a field full of diamonds.
