I caved in, bought 2x Sapphire 390 Nitro. I was very happy with my 290, and the crossfire benchmarks vs a 980 Ti was just too juicy. Price/Performance is sky high on the 390 and it also helps that crossfire scaling is 80%+

Maybe I'll go Nvidia for my next build with a custom loop.
