Go to solution Solved by Guest,

i'll try the "SCP server" first, then if isn't work i'll try this two options and if no one works, im going to buy an xbox 360 wired controller it's 27$ in amazon, so i can just plug and play. hahhahaha

Follow the New Install section of the thread and you should be good. I unchecked the "Bluetooth Driver" checkbox during the installation process since I preferred to connect my DS3 controller wired and didn't want additional Bluetooth Drivers. Also, I didn't bother updating as I was lazy and the updates add unnecessary features and complications. You should first do the new install and then proceed with the updates once the fresh install is up and working. You might have to restart after you install just so that the diver is up and running.

You can do PS3 but I recommend PS4, and PS4 is easy, you download the Xbox Controller Drivers and a program called DS4Tool, but for PS3 Controller I believe you have to download the Xbox 360 Controller drivers from microsoft and then configure your controller on XPadder, however its extremely glitchy and the PS4 controller works a lot better.

A PS4 controller is plug and play too and good if you prefer the shape of it. For a PS3 controller you need to use MotioninJoy which is a pile of crap.

It's essentially plug and play. You'd have to install drivers anyways if it's not detected right off the bat for X360. DS4Tool works a hell of a lot better than MiJ anyways.

i was doing a bit of research and find a software named "SCP Server" that can connect your PS3 controller to the PC without a problem, can i trust in that software?

cause i just want to use a controller to play some grid and another games i have that it's only playable with a controller.

Well no its not, because you don't plug in and instantly play. The XBOX 360 Controller drivers are in Windows Drivers List, so it will download them when you plug in the 360 controller.

I've never heard of this software so I don't know, you best bet is going with a 360 or PS4 controller.

How i can configure my PS3 controller to play in my PC or just buy a Xbox 360 controller?

Install MotionJoy's DS3 tool.

Plug in your PS3 controller.

Open DS3 Tool

Go to driver manager

Install that driver (that makes it so your PS3 controller can be used through that USB port)

You're pretty much done.

Go to the home screen of DS3 Tool, make it so it emulates an Xbox 360 controller and you're done.

Make sure DS3 tool is open when you want to play a game with your controller

*sigh* Semantics!

No, X360 drivers do not always install.

yes, i was looking in that forum probably it's the real source of this software, if you use it and don't have a problem and your anti-virus don't detected a problem probably it's ok? so ill try to download that software and try to "plug, download and play" with the PS3 controller.

This, but install the Motionjoy DS3 driver, then download Better DS3.  Far better program that doesn't require any of motionjoy's always online nonsense, all it needs are the DS3 drivers then you can configure it to work as a 360 controller, PCSX2 controller, etc. and essentially plug and play.

Didn't install anything for me, so I would assume it's fine.

Can't say for 100% certainty though.

Follow the New Install section of the thread and you should be good. I unchecked the "Bluetooth Driver" checkbox during the installation process since I preferred to connect my DS3 controller wired and didn't want additional Bluetooth Drivers. Thats because alot of games these days dont use or support the directinpuit api, they use xinput solely.

If you played a game that was ..pre 2006ish im willing to bet if it had controller support it would work fine without it.
