Making it cheaper still doesn't make it worth buying... :)

I see the appeal but from personal experience it's pretty terrible. We used ours to airplay music through...

I used one a bit and I didn't find it bad. Although I only used it to extend my laptops display and play contents off my laptop.

hmmm, doubt they are done dealing with content owners for television. but maybe they have finally struck a deal, and can release the 4th gen. this is apple's next big thing, as the personal gadgets are getting really boring (from every company). traditional tv/cable/sat is horrid and needs to transition.

Honestly, the Apple TV is awful. It's UI is slow and the damn remote doesn't make it any easier to use.

No they have not. There a few copyright issues.

I'd rather get a chromecast to be honest, but I can see it being interesting for some people. After all 50 bucks aren't that much.
