on https://www.blender.org/features/ it looks like blender is a great software. should I install it?

Blender is amazing! It does much more then make 3d models you can even edit video with it and it's free! Great program

Just keeping this here as a Depends how you're going to use it. There's better programs for modelling, but a lot of them are paid. If you're a student, you can get a student copy of 3DS max, which is much more comprehensive than Blender IMO. 

 

Personally, I like C4D because of its subdivision surface modelling tools.

It's a good tool to get into modelling and animation, but autodesk has better programs. Blender being free is hard to beat.

Absolutely.

 

It's just as good as a fair few paid solutions, it's easy to get to grips with, and it doesn't require a subscription or - really - any payment of any kind to use it for commercial purposes. It's a great 3D modelling program.

 

It's also a game engine which uses Python, but...let's be honest, no-one uses it for that.

Blender is free CAD software, it will take you a while to learn as it is abit different from other CAD softwares like Autodesk123.
