Going to put in my Hard drive, my SSD already has the OS installed and so does the hard drive

What i need to do?

Go to bios set SSD has priority boot and HDD secondary boot?

Open up disc management

Format HDD. and im done?

If you don't have a OS installed on the second drive, you shouldn't have problems even if the SSD is after the HDD in the boot order. It is simply recommended to have it before all other drives so the system doesn't have to look for boot-able files on the rest of the storage drives. 
If the drive is a new one, you would most probably need to first initialize it in Disk Management before partitioning and formatting it. If it has a small red arrow on the drive there or doesn't allow you to do anything, simply right-click on the drive itself and initialize it. :)
