unparking cpus

EzioSan

hello community, i have a problem atm. i don't have my pc anymore and i won't buy one until i see skylake and my notebook died. my notebook used to have an i3 with a gt 740m, pretty shitty performance, but ones i unparked the cpu´s i was able to run gw2 csgo and dota just fine.

now i borrowed a shitty mac 2009 with a core 2 duo, but i wanted to know if it was possible to unpark this cpu´s too like on the old notebook with the i3....i am hoping for a peformance boost here too.

anyone knows if its possible?
