OCCT, Prime 95, Furmark.

Common ones are Prime95, Intel Burn Test, OCCT, 3DMark and such tools from Futuremark. I know Linus uses one specifically for GPU testing, cannot remember the name of it now, be he references it in a recent NCIX build video...

I have used all of these and more: aida64 extreme (not free, but very good and I love it), prime95, occt, linx, cinebench, heaven benchmark, furmark and all futuremark 3dmarks.

GPU = Kombustor

RAM = MemTest96+

Run Cinebench 10 times then AIDA64 (CPU, FPU, cache and memory tests, FPU is what makes the most heat so just run FPU if you're stressing your cooling) for a few hours to overnight. Then Heaven+3DMark for your video card needs. MemTest86+ is great, but that all depends if you like OCing RAM :P

Intel Burn in test seems to catch unstable systems better than Prime 95 from my experience. Prime 95 will doesn't seem to load up my laptop nearly as much as Intel Burn in test.

MemTest86+ is great for anything RAM, not just to test overclocks...what if something shat on the RAM and you aren't OC'd? You'd have to test it anyways just like Linus did for his wifie's rig. Lol
