Totally not a problem at all. Most programs out there are written in 32 bit.

All 64bit OS are backwards compatible with 32bit software. Only problem is with drivers. Some 32bit drivers just refuse to even install on 64bit systems.

Unless it's something that's really memory-intensive or could benefit from certain 64-bit only features, running 32-bit apps on 64-bit systems is fine.

Examples of apps that might benefit from 64-bit are photo-editing apps, vector drawing apps, video editors and/or encoders, and web browsers under heavy usage. Generally speaking, anything that uses a lot of RAM could benefit from going 64-bit.
