I was at a friends and thought it was an M8 on the table, but once I saw the single square back camera I had to take great caution

If you look closely there's gold trim around the side (which my S2 camera didn't pick up well, but it's there), which the M8 didn't have, and as stated above (not on pic of course) it had the single square rear camera.

Yeah, I was looking for the trim but didn't see it and we only see the front so...

It's an M9, note the sensor next to the camera, it's smaller on the M8.

The snapdragon cpu in that and some other flagship phones (and some older snapdragons) are well known to have thermal issues especially with Lollipop.

dual cores not enough. an i3 might edge out in gaming but literally anything else a 860k will ruin it

It's funny how the M8 and M9 look so similar that people can't tell the difference.

It's sad that the m8 only had one serious flaw, and HTC completely botched fixing it. (the camera).

This coming from a proud and extremely pleased m8 user.

Honestly for everyone I know the M8 pretty much ticks all the boxes, since none of them use the back camera for anything more then posting fight videos or mirror selfies on Facebook anyways

By major flaw, I mean the only thing imho keeping it from being the undeniable champion of its generation. It is still light-years better than most cameras on phones before 2014, but noticeably worse than some others of the same age.

Still one of the most beautiful phones ever (again imho).

Yeah, everyone I know thinks the camera on it is actually fantastic. I don't mind it that much, but there's times when the two main issues of zooming in (not enough MP) and poor auto exposure get annoying.
