I bought an MSI GTX 970 not long after launch and it's been a great card until recently. It's becoming more and more frequent that the display drivers 'Stop working'. My 2 screens go black for a second then windows (7) pops up with a message stating the drivers stopped working. Now this only happens when i'm doing average stuff, like browsing. Not once has it occurred while playing games. Then last night, it blue screened. Rebooted, didn't think a great deal of it, it happens time to time. And then about 30 mins later my screens went black, then when they came back it was completely frozen, the movie I was watching was frozen and on the second screen there was a single virtual line, here's a picture (Excuse the quality, the lens is knackered on my phone.):

So shut her down, removed my GPU, cleaned out the machine, fans, cpu rad etc. Then uninstalled all my Nvidia drivers, rebooted and reinstalled, seemed to be fine for the rest of the evening, with games etc. Then again this morning 'Display driver stopped working'. It seems she's still not happy. So anyone else having similar issues? Any ideas on the cause and a fix? I'll update this post with my driver versions when I get home later today, but my system specs are in my signature.

Cheers,

Spook.

weird, yesterday my display drivers did the exact same thing (crash), it was the first time and so random while browsing with chrome. I don't think you're the only one who's experienced this very recently..

temps are fine

MSI GTX 970

2x 1080p monitors (144hz and 60hz)

I didn't think much of it, I'll wait to see if it crashes again..

Hmm yea, ok, I'm running 1x1080p (HDMI) and 1x1440p (DisplayPort). Mine started about 3 weeks ago, but it's become more frequent recently. Like you I didn't think much of it at first, but now it seems to be becoming worse and frankly becoming irritating!
