Foobar2000 (like literally everyone says, I only use it on my older computers with 98), or just stick with WMP.

I've been using WinAmp for the past ten years. Tried foobar2000 today and switched back to winamp within like 5 minutes.

It takes longer than 5 minutes to set up.

The majority of people are using Foobar I believe.

Didn't mean it literarily. I played around with the layout editor and stuff and then I noticed I placed everything just as it is in WinAmp. Then I thought 'what's the point?'

I looked at the way various people set up their Foobar and that gave me a few ideas to change my setup.

The a/b testing and lyrics are great, and I do use encoding feature. I'm very picky about playcount statistics and when Winamp crashed and lost them, I went apeshit and never touched it since. The way Foobar does it adds the info to the track itself so it isn't lost, ever AFAIK. I can also do some basic tweaking of those values.

I like how I can put all my different genre playlists on Foobar and have access to them within a click of a button. I don't recall being able to do that on winamp, where I had to load a different playlist every time. Foobar also has an extensive support for different audio files.
