Egg, chicken hatched from egg. The thing that laid the egg was a different species that was one evolutionary stage before the chicken

The egg of course. If you understand how evolution works, then you would know that a more primitive version of our modern chicken laid an egg which hatched into our modern day chicken, which then laid more eggs like that. The chicken has to come from a chicken egg, but the chicken egg does not have to come from a chicken, it can come from a slightly less evolved bird.

Or if you believe in the Bible, then the chicken came first because a magical man in the sky made them on the fifth day during the creation.

How would the egg hatch if there was no mama sitting on it for heat

The correct paradoxical question would be: "What was first, the modern chicken or the modern chicken egg"

Eggs have existed long before chickens, chicken eggs however.....

Assuming you mean chicken eggs and not just eggs in general, then a proto-chicken laid a mutant egg which became the first actual chicken.

And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.

God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

pretty much sums it up right there, it all happen on the same day. :p

the rooster came first, eggs and chickens can't come.

Then why have eggs at all? Why not just have chickens magically appear out of thin air?

Because God gets tired. That's why he rested on the 7th day.

How do I make a spoiler? I wanna say something else.

You're all forgetting that the chicken and egg are quantumly entangled, meaning that both the chicken AND the egg must have come first at the same time. No one was there to measure the first coming, therefore the outcome has not been observed, and both options have occurred.

Wit is educated insolence.

chickens evolved from dinosaurs.

Neither really. Evolution happens in gradual steps. When did a chicken become chicken and stop being another another species? The answer is never. Offspring are always the same species as their parents.

It's a biological paradox.
