Thoughts on Windows 10?

I have windows 7 and i love it, I just want to hear your guys' thoughts/concerns on win 10.  A free upgrade is hard to turn down.. but IS it worth it ?

I'm just gonna wait until they start forcing us to upgrade due to direct x12, also my license is sorta fucked because I swapped mobo.

Welcomed upgrade. I kinda llike the metro start screen of 8 and 8.1 so its gonna be bit interesting to fit it all in a start menu,

It's kind of worth it, as it's a lot faster, has DirectX12 support, you name it.

I have played with it and I like it the Cortana voice search is nice and the star menu is a good change from classic start also everything is simplified which could be bad to some and good to other as far as settings go.

Haven't used the developer preview in a while, but when I had it it was really solid. Gonna be a really good OS once they work out some of the quirkiness of beta. 

 

At least hopefully they do.

I am extreamly dissatisfied with Windows Updates in Windows 10.  It has single handedly made the Tech Preview unuseable.

 

By far, the Windows 10 TP is MONTHS behind the Windows 7 RC and Windows 8 Customer Preview (at their respective times).  I personally think that Microsoft is just throwing things out that they KNOW aren't going to work so they can get feedback to make it work.  But, it is something to note.

 

Windows 10 is a step in the wrong direction in my view point, but I guess I'll give it a whirl.
